  • Our direct client has an opening for a System Administrator  (742952)
  • This position is up to  10 months with the option of extension and is located  in   
  • Columbus, OH
  • We can work corp to corp or W2.  
  • 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information System/Technology or a related field Required  
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification. Required 6 Years
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. Required 6 Years
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Terraform, etc. Highly desired  
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation. Highly desired

Role Description: 
General:
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and database services. 
  • Manage the system management resources.
  • Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite architecture, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Act as a system’s management expert.
  • Experience with database management, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and management tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Develop the technical infrastructure maintenance strategy.
  • Analyze, determine, and document requirements in terms of system management needs and implement them.
  • Manages a large site or network. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Design, implement, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement and manage cloud security policies, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
  • Perform routine audits and assessments of cloud environments to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. 
 
Oracle E-Business Suite Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize Oracle EBS databases, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning, and archiving.
  • Apply patches, perform upgrades, and ensure the EBS environment is up to date with the latest releases and security updates.
  • Work closely with MIS- Business Process team for business process documentation, script creation, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EBS applications and databases.
 
Collaboration and Support:
  • Function as the liaison to the various support groups with whom the systems management team interfaces.
  • Work closely with various departments, including applications, business process, infrastructure, user support, and security as needed to ensure seamless integration and operation of Oracle systems.
  • Provide support to end-users and stakeholders, addressing issues and inquiries related to Oracle EBS and OCI.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify, approve, and prioritize team projects.
  • Recommends policies on system use and services.
  • Responsible for ensuring high priority issues are resolved in a timely manner.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Follow quality standards of department and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement.
  • Execute all required process steps.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with Management Information Services and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to provide accurate and useful status updates.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and spoken
