Job Title: Director, Occupational Health & Medical Management
Position Summary:
The Director, Occupational Health & Medical Management is responsible for leading the company's North America occupational injury and illness case management processes, providing occupational health clinic oversight, developing and improving occupational health programs, ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations and standards, and serving as the company's North America subject matter expert for occupational health and medical management.

- Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (PA), or Registered Nurse with MSN
- 7+ years of occupational health experience
- 3+ years of experience in managing workers' compensation claims
- Manufacturing or Industrial experience is preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Job Responsibilities
Occupational Injury & Illness Case Management - North America
- Lead occupational injury and illness case management processes across North America.
- Serve as a point of contact and liaison in with on-site medical service providers, hospitals, occupational medicine clinics, and physicians and rehabilitation providers.
- Provide consultation and case management guidance for work-related injuries or illnesses in North America.
- Partner with Human Resources, the Risk Management Claims Coordinator, Operations, and third-party administrators to facilitate effective workers' compensation case management.
- Act as a resource and provide expert guidance to management, supervisors, and employees on matters related to occupational medicine.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop return-to-work plans and rehabilitation programs to facilitate the recovery and reintegration of injured workers.
- Provide guidance in managing occupational injury and illness disability cases including workplace accommodations and modifications to support employees with disabilities in returning to work.
- Establish and manage relationships with occupational health clinics and healthcare providers supporting company locations in North America.
- Develop standards and expectations for occupational health services delivered by external providers.
- Monitor provider performance, service quality, responsiveness, and compliance with company requirements.
- Support selection, contracting and evaluation of occupational health service providers in North America.
- Design and implement health promotion programs aimed at educating colleagues about occupational health practices. These programs may include training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns to promote healthy behaviors and prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of occupational health programs to reduce work-related injuries.
- Partner with EHS and Operations leadership to integrate occupational health principles into safety programs and to share regional best practices.
- Provide technical expertise regarding occupational health risks and prevention strategies.
- Support health-related aspects of serious incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Analyze occupational health injury data and trends and recommend prevention strategies to improve reduce occupational safety risk.
- Work with Global Industrial Hygiene Manager to provide comprehensive worksite evaluation materials designed to identify potential health hazards, including exposure to hazardous chemicals, noise, vibration, biological agents, and physical hazards.
- Work with Global Industrial Hygiene Manager to develop and implement health surveillance programs to monitor the health status of workers exposed to occupational hazards. This may involve regular medical examinations, health assessments, and monitoring of exposure levels to ensure early detection of work-related illnesses or injuries.
- Ensure that ADM workplaces comply with regulations and standards related to occupational medicine and help implement measures to maintain compliance.
