This position entails a remote work setup, allowing for flexibility in your schedule. Our outpatient office serves as a hub for client meetings and collaboration with multi-disciplinary professionals. You will typically work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential for some evening shifts based on patient needs, ensuring responsive and accessible care.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the needs and objectives of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients’ recovery.
• Deliver personalized individual counseling sessions using motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches to empower clients in their recovery journey.
• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive atmosphere where individuals can share experiences and gain insights from their peers.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated, comprehensive care across all levels of treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention during substance-related emergencies and offer ongoing support to clients and their families.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, coping strategies for recovery, and local resources available to assist them on their journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance your training and skills.
• Stay informed about the latest research, emerging best practices, and advancements in the treatment of substance use disorders to deliver the highest quality of care.

Your primary focus will be on individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders, ranging from mild to severe cases. You will provide tailored support to both adults and adolescents, helping them navigate the unique challenges that addiction presents. Your compassionate approach will empower clients and their families to embrace recovery and healing.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in California.
• Extensive knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities that promote recovery-oriented care.
• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment, showcasing your direct involvement in client recovery.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong emphasis on maintaining a non-judgmental and empathetic demeanor.
• Strong capacity to establish professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and protect patient confidentiality.
• Proficient use of electronic health record systems and basic computer applications related to documentation and patient management.
• A proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team focused on holistic patient care.

• Experience in trauma-informed care practices and the ability to integrate these principles into treatment approaches.
• Prior involvement with community outreach programs or educational workshops related to addiction recovery.
• Skills in delivering family therapy or deriving family support components to enhance treatment outcomes.
