Salary: $25.11/hour
Job Duties:

  • Responsible for maintaining individual inmate financial accounts: originating the accounts debits, credits expenditures, balancing the accounts, preparing bank deposits, and reconciling daily balances; responsible for handling cash and money orders.
  • Completes the REJIS process for inmates by entering necessary data for inmate processing, and processing inmate records; maintains the criminal records for the inmate population, approves releases of inmates from custody based on review of commitment and release documents, inventories, stores, and releases inmate property and maintains property room files.
  • Replies to telephone inquiries regarding inmate records; acts as the Lead Paralegal in his/her absence
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • One year of experience as a records clerk or related position, preferably in criminal justice or related field.
  • Must obtain REJIS and MULES certifications following employment.
  • Must possess/maintain an active telephone.
  • Must submit to and pass a police background check and drug screen.
