How We LEAD:
Island Records is seeking an A&R Coordinator to support the SVP, Head of A&R and the A&R team across day-to-day operations, artist development, and recording projects. This role serves as a key administrative and project management partner, helping coordinate recording activity, creative meetings, artist communications, and executive priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about artist development. They thrive in a fast-moving environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and are eager to contribute to the creative process while providing exceptional operational support.
How You'll CREATE:
  • Provide administrative support to the A&R team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and processing expenses.
  • Manage high-volume communications, including email correspondence, incoming calls, and meeting requests.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, listening session materials, and other assets needed for internal and external meetings.
  • Track recording activity and facilitate the delivery of audio files between artists, producers, engineers, mixers, mastering engineers, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate recording sessions, including scheduling studios, booking session logistics, and maintaining recording calendars.
  • Assist with maintaining recording budgets, processing invoices, and tracking project-related expenses.
  • Support artist development initiatives by coordinating creative meetings, listening sessions, showcases, and other A&R activities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Digital, Production, Business Affairs, Finance, and external partners to support artist projects and releases.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, creative assets, and recording files to ensure accurate recordkeeping and efficient collaboration.
  • Coordinate department-wide projects and provide operational support across multiple artist campaigns and initiatives.
  • Handle additional administrative and special projects as assigned.

Bring Your VIBE:
  • 2+ years of administrative, project coordination, or related experience within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Previous experience supporting executives or teams within the music or entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Experience supporting one or more senior executives or teams is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and resourceful approach with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
