Pay Range: $70,000-$90,000 annually
KMRG, LLC (KMRG) is a federal services company that hires talented professionals to support Government agencies and the communities they serve. We are hiring a Records Manager to support the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) onsite at its headquarters in Washington, DC.
In this role, you will support the evaluation and disposition of government records identified following FTA's office relocation within the Department of Transportation Headquarters. The work focuses on inventory, records scheduling and appraisal, authorized disposition, permanent-record transfer, and federal records-management compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inventory accumulated FTA records identified following the agency's office relocation
  • Evaluate government records requiring preservation or disposition
  • Perform records scheduling and appraisal for accumulated FTA files
  • Execute authorized disposition actions for temporary and permanent records
  • Securely destroy temporary records when authorized for disposition
  • Prepare permanent historical records for transfer to NARA
  • Apply NARA regulations to records-management activities
  • Follow Federal Records Act requirements for records-management activities
  • Implement DOT Order 1351.28 requirements for records-management activities
  • Support compliant handling of physical and digital government records
  • Reduce unnecessary physical and digital records storage
  • Mitigate data privacy and security risks through proper records disposition

  • 5-10 years of relevant records-management experience
