About Us:
SERVPRO® is a national leader in water damage restoration and disaster response. Our local franchise responds to homes and businesses impacted by water damage, providing expert cleanup, drying, and recovery services. We help people get back to normal — fast.

We’re hiring a Water Technician to join our mitigation team. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll assess damage, operate extraction and drying equipment, and play a key part in restoring homes and properties.

What You’ll Do:

Inspect & Assess Water Damage

  • Identify the source and category of water loss (clean, gray, or black)
  • Use moisture meters and thermal imaging to determine spread of damage

Extract Water & Remove Damaged Materials

  • Operate extraction equipment (wet vacs, pumps, etc.)
  • Remove soaked carpet, drywall, insulation, and other materials

Dry & Monitor Affected Areas

  • Set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and drying equipment
  • Track progress and adjust placement as needed

Sanitize & Prevent Mold Growth

  • Apply antimicrobial agents to affected areas
  • Follow IICRC protocols to prevent microbial contamination

Document & Communicate

  • Maintain accurate job logs, equipment records, and photo documentation
  • Communicate restoration steps clearly to clients and answer questions

Ensure Safety & Compliance

  • Follow SERVPRO and OSHA safety standards
  • Wear PPE and use proper containment for contaminated sites

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with demolition and reconstruction as needed
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Attend ongoing training and certifications (IICRC, etc.)

  • Previous experience in water damage restoration, construction, or similar field preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using restoration equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, working in wet/tight spaces

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
