They coordinate teams, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure the work complies with safety and building regulations. Their responsibilities also include communicating with clients, insurance companies, and subcontractors to ensure the project meets quality standards and client expectations.

Reconstruction Managers often encounter challenges such as balancing tight deadlines with budget constraints, managing multiple contractors and vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while coordinating in-house crews, trade partners, vendors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and actively manage project execution plans including production schedules, trade sequencing, inspections, permit timelines, material procurement, equipment needs, and critical milestones to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Drive project timelines by identifying risks early, adjusting production plans, resolving bottlenecks, and maintaining accountability across crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Forecast material requirements, coordinate purchasing, track deliveries, resolve supply issues, and ensure materials are available to support scheduled production without delays.

  • Perform regular field inspections to monitor quality, safety, schedule performance, subcontractor accountability, and overall project progress while resolving issues before they impact production or customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, progress photos, schedules, communication logs, and financial records using company software.
Experience

  • Knowledge of permitting, inspections, and applicable building codes.
  • Proven ability to build lasting customer relationships while successfully managing difficult conversations, changing project conditions, and competing priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid California Driver's License with the ability to travel throughout Southern California.
