Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced Internal/Used Car Technician to join our Service Team. This full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring pre-owned vehicles are reconditioned quickly, accurately, and to the highest standards before being offered for sale.

We're looking for a well-rounded technician with strong diagnostic and repair abilities, ideally with multi-brand experience and multiple ASE Certifications. Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive inspections and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns
  • Complete maintenance services to prepare vehicles for frontline sale
  • Identify and document repair recommendations according to dealership standards
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and appearance requirements
  • Work efficiently to meet internal production and turnaround goals
  • Utilize service information systems, scan tools, and electronic repair resources
  • Collaborate with service, parts, and used vehicle departments to ensure timely completion of work
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
  • Multi-brand dealership or independent repair experience highly desired
  • Multiple ASE Certifications preferred
  • ASE Master Technician certification is a plus
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with domestic, import, and luxury vehicle brands
  • Ability to perform repairs independently with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
