LUNCHROOM/RECESS MONITOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School graduate, or equivalent
  2. Physical health that will allow them to complete their duties
  3. Prior experience working with students preferred
  4. Such alternates to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Regular and punctual attendance to perform duties. Absences only for personal illness, family emergencies, civic duty, or pre-arranged days off w/supervisor approval, pursuant to Richland School Policy
  2. Dress professionally
  3. Work calendar shall be the number of days equal to that lunch is served to students, with any additional work as approved by the Principal or the Assistant Principal
  4. Work under the direction of the building Principals, Dean of Students and/or the Assistant Principal
  5. Be able to relate to students and be skilled in student management in lunchroom, recess, classroom, etc.
  6. Supervises students in classrooms, lunchrooms, hallways, recess areas, etc. as assigned
  7. Maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to students, personnel, and school business
  8. Maintain classroom/lunchroom/building supervision in an orderly fashion
  9. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace - assisting with cleaning duties as required each day
  10. Assist with serving of lunch/milk as needed
  11. Work in a collaborative fashion with other staff members
  12. Professional demeanor through communication with colleagues, supervisors, students, and staff
  13. Refrain from comments, actions, etc. which would distract from a friendly work environment
  14. Provide timely communication with direct supervisors
  15. Refrain from personal telephone conversations and cell phone use within the workday
  16. Other duties as assigned by administration

Pay Rate
172 Day: August 2026 - May 2027
3 Hours Per Day: Schedule to be set by the Assistant Principal and/or Building Principal(s)
