Job description

Become a part of our caring community
As a Receptionist 1, you'll ensure every patient feels valued from the moment they arrive, functioning as the welcoming face of our healthcare facility. Working onsite, you will report to the Manager, Clinic/Center Administration. You'll manage front desk operations, support clinical staff, and help maintain a smooth and compassionate environment. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a dynamic setting and enjoys making a positive impact on others.
A receptionist is needed at the clinic to support daily front-desk operations and ensure an efficient, professional experience for patients, providers, and staff. This role is essential for managing patient check-in and check-out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying basic information, and directing patients appropriately upon arrival.
Adding or maintaining receptionist coverage will improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and help prevent delays in care caused by missed communication or administrative bottlenecks. It also allows clinical staff to remain focused on patient care rather than being pulled away to perform front-desk duties.
If this role is not in place, the clinic may experience increased patient dissatisfaction, longer wait times, scheduling errors, missed calls, reduced operational efficiency, and additional burden on clinical and administrative team members. This can negatively affect service quality, productivity, and the overall patient experience.
In summary, a receptionist is a necessary operational support role that helps maintain organized clinic workflows, improves patient service, and enables care teams to operate more effectively.

As a Receptionist 1, you'll:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, in person and over the phone, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage calendars, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient flow.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using EMR and CRM systems.
  • Update patient accounts and collect copays when needed.
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information and empathy.
  • Keep the reception area clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Help with supply orders, inventory management, and courier coordination.

Use your skills to make an impact

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • Team player with a positive attitude
