Job description

  • Position Summary
    • The MGM Receptionist position is a PRN float pool expanded role covering front office responsibilities within the offices of the physician network. Some travel is required, as needed, for office assignment locations within multiple counties in Georgia and in South Carolina.
       
      As the Float Receptionist, this individual is responsible for completing patient registration, updating patient accounts, scheduling patient appointments and collecting fees due at time of service to include outstanding balances within the EMR. This position requires answering calls ensuring the proper documentation is gathered and directed to the appropriate party. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude towards the patients, physicians, and fellow employees. Must have strong people skills and be a team player. Individual must maintain a professional attitude while performing multiple tasks in a pressured environment. Individual must be innovative and self-motivating, engaging in tasks without being directed to do so. Individual must be detail oriented.

    • Efficiently and effectively register patients in software system, with attention to detail, the customer experience, and data accuracy. Performs eligibility checks for upcoming patient appointments and procedures.  Accurately input patient demographic and insurance information, and obtain current copies of HIPAA, consents, financial responsibility, insurance cards, collect co-pays and other payments, etc.  Alert patients of network status.Effectively answer incoming calls. Manage and routes calls accordingly. Processes incoming and outgoing documents. Collects payments
    • Provide administrative support to include but not limited to preparation of correspondence and completion of document requests per protocol, scanning of documents per protocol and timelines set within the department. Work with the clerical coordinators and front desk team as needed to maintain provider schedule and provide back-up scheduling.
