Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possesses, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of a one (1) years prior customer service or administrative experience required.
  • Possesses excellent business grammar and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite required, and have a high level of accuracy.
  • Is able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Is able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the essential functions of the position can be fully met.
  • Able and willing to work independently with flexibility and integrity, as well as effectively and harmoniously with team members across multiple processes, guests, family members, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Is willing to communicate with residents based at whatever behavior or acuity level they are currently functioning.
  • Moves packages and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Must be fully up-to-date with required vaccinations.
As a Receptionist you can expect to:
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, welcome and positive emphasis. Welcomes visitors and assists with sign-in process.
  • Takes an active role as part of the administration team, helping with all administrative tasks when necessary. These may include filing, copying, mailings, composing and typing confidential/medical material, formatting/revising existing documents, creating fliers and pamphlets, and operating office equipment such as fax machines, postal machines and photocopiers.
  • Answers multi-line telephone; determines nature of call and directs caller to appropriate individual or department.
  • Receives inquiries from team members, residents and guests, and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Enters data on spreadsheets.
  • Takes the initiative to think of new ideas and processes to help both residents and team members.
  • Assists residents as requested/needed; provides door/mailbox key; calls nurse, etc.
  • Ensures guests/visitors abide by existing rules and reports suspicious persons/information to Security.
  • Commits to aligning behavior in accordance with the ERS Core Values and Ways of Working.
