Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting.
Responsibilities:
  •  Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  •  Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
  •  Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
  •  Take primary ownership of procedure scheduling: handle the full process from start to finish, including filling out order forms,     compiling required documents, faxing/submitting them, managing related messages/inquiries, and ensuring no steps fall through       the cracks
  •  Actively support patient checkout by printing and providing referrals, procedural packets, doctor information, printed orders (as   permitted), and any other needed materials based on provider instructions—helping patients leave fully prepared without delaying   clinic flow
  •  Maintain patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  •  Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  •  Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  •  Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists
Qualifications:
  •  Experience in Medical administrative support or in a similar role
  •  High school diploma or equivalent 
  •  Experience in medical administrative support required; prior role in a medical office coordinator, procedure scheduler, or referral   coordinator capacity strongly preferred
  •  Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
  •  Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
  •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  •  Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  •  Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  •  Proficient in using phone systems and basic computer applications
  •  Proven initiative and ownership mindset—someone who anticipates needs and jumps in to help
  •  Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
