Job description

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community and a Skilled Nursing Building.
We currently have an opening for a PRN Receptionist in our Skilled Nursing Building.
We are looking for someone who can be available on short notice to fill in for vacations and call offs between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm Monday through Friday.
  • STARTING RATE-$15.25 PER HOUR
  • ILLINOIS PAID LEAVE FOR ALL WORKERS

Listed below is an outline of the major duties and responsibilities that are required to perform this position. As Receptionist you are delegated by the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary to carry out the assigned duties.
1.
Completing opening and closing procedures
2.
Answer and direct incoming calls.
3.
Assist family members and visiting guests regarding information pertaining to facility directions and amenities.
4.
Working knowledge of what to do in emergencies, i.e., Tornado, Fire, Bomb Threat, etc.
5.
Maintain police/weather/radio alarm and respond appropriately to emergencies.
6.
Sort and distribute mail to appropriate persons. Works with Full Time Receptionist in forwarding any mail to discharged/deceased residents.
7.
Some light typing, as requested, as well as bulk mail preparation(s).
8.
Prepare postage via postage machine for all outgoing mail.
9.
Log all incoming deliveries & personal deliveries made at the front desk.
10.
Works with Full Time Receptionist in ordering supplies for reception desk through Central Supply.
11.
Create and distribute Communication sheets regarding residents, (i.e., new admission, room change, discharge, re-admission, expiration) through email correspondence.
12.
Maintain dining reservations for Garden Dining Room and Meeting Rooms as requested.
13.
Maintain awareness of residents that may be a wander precaution.
14.
Assists in creating and distributing Resident Care Plan Meeting Letters, as scheduled.
15.
Assist with Maintenance Requests
16.
Ensure all pets visiting the facility are current on vaccinations and maintain the Pet Vaccination Log
17.
Contact Laundry Department for labeling of resident clothing and log all such items in books alphabetically.
18.
Respond to calls from the backdoor for deliveries.
19.
Notify the Health Information Management Department of any Physician(s) arrival to the facility.
20.
Maintain confidentiality of necessary information in compliance with HIPAA.
21.
Work with members of the reception department to coverage for days off as well as Holidays. Tabor Hills recognized holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
22.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous Receptionist or Customer Service in a Healthcare facility helpful. Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
