ABM College is one of the leading career training institutions in Alberta and Ontario. Throughout its history, ABM College has provided students with professional training, academic knowledge, and the right skill-set to meet employment market demands.
We are looking for a skilled and friendly Receptionist to manage our front desk and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for anyone entering our premises and will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, providing information as needed.
  • Manage and maintain the reception area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Handle student inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for meetings, interviews, and other events.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, such as sorting and distributing mail, and maintaining records.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration are a plus.
  • 1-2 years proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle a busy front desk and manage various tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of an Admission process within a post-secondary environment demonstrating knowledge of Admission criteria, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in working with a private college setting will be an asset.
