Dental Administrator
 
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Administrator to join their team. This role is responsible for managing billing and insurance claims, maintaining patient records, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. The Dental Administrator will also assist with reception duties and collaborate closely with clinical staff to support seamless patient care. The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience in a dental or medical office, proficiency in dental practice management software, and strong communication and organizational skills.
 
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Process patient payments, issue receipts, and submit insurance claims
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and explain treatment costs and coverage to patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Manage correspondence including emails, phone calls, and mail
  • Order and manage office supplies and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with PIPEDA and maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Collaborate effectively with dental staff to support patient care
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment with frequent patient interaction
  • Support reception and assist with scheduling as needed
Your strengths include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in administration or healthcare is an asset
  • 5-10 years of experience in a dental or medical office (preferred)
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., OpenDental)
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (an asset)
  • Flexibility to work one evening per week and one Saturday per month
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
