Job description

Job Title: Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation (Entry-Level)
Location: Rocklin / Roseville, CA (local candidates only)
Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000 base + bonuses
What This Firm Does

This is a boutique labor & employment defense firm representing employers, with a strong focus on wage & hour, PAGA, class actions, and employment litigation. Much of the work is litigation-driven and process-heavy.

You do not need prior labor & employment experience. You just need an interest in litigation and the ability to learn quickly.

The Role

This is a true entry-level associate role for a recently barred California attorney who wants hands-on litigation experience early. You will be trained, supported, and given real responsibility.

What You’ll Do
  • Support active civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions
  • Assist with depositions, hearings, and trial prep
  • Learn wage & hour, PAGA, and employment defense work on the job
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners
What They’re Looking For
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • California Bar (recent pass encouraged)
  • Interest in civil litigation (practice area flexible)
  • Strong writing, organization, and follow-through
  • Local to Rocklin / Roseville (within ~15–20 miles)
Why This Makes Sense
  • Excellent first or second job out of law school
  • Real litigation exposure, not a paper-only role
  • Clear mentorship and growth path
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary up to $115,000, depending on experience
  • Bonus opportunities tied to performance and contribution
  • Full benefits package to be discussed directly with the firm
  • Clear development path with mentorship and increasing responsibility
