Job description

Job Title:         Material Coordinator

Industry:          Heavy Machine Manufacturing

Location:         Davenport, IA 52809

Duration:         12 Months (Possibility of Extension)

Shift:                1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the flow of materials across multiple departments, including shipping and receiving activities.
• Ensure production teams have the required materials and parts to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate procurement, expediting, production, and delivery of materials.
• Manage movement and disposition of rejected materials.
• Create and distribute daily production schedules using the Master Schedule.
• Process inbound and outbound material transactions as needed.
• Audit material replenishment cycles and inventory accuracy.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and expedite critical parts to avoid production interruptions.
• Analyze and resolve material shortages through root cause identification.
• Support engineering release and change management processes.
• Provide work direction to material handlers, stock chasers, and truckers when required.
