Job Summary:


Ensure quality of the products while maintaining the safety of the food and employee is the highest priority of Sabrosura Foods. A Quality Control Receiver duties are to assist the warehouse in inspecting the inbound/outbound shipments while maintaining speed and accuracy. The QC Receiver works in a team environment where communication is imperative.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform visual inspection of all incoming raw materials including ingredients and packaging according to the Standard Operating procedures for Receiving Raw Materials.
  • Perform internal temperature check for any temperature-controlled ingredients (Chilled or Frozen)
  • Pull samples of raw materials for physical and microbiological testing and be able to analyze internally or send out to a certified 3rd party laboratory.
  • Keep records of all inspection reports and other QA supporting documents of incoming shipments.
  • Perform verification of incoming product labels or printed films against approved pdf.
  • Prepare and submit non-conformance reports for any issues encountered during the receiving inspection and place raw materials or equipment on hold if needed.
  • Reports non-conformances or issues in a timely manner including completion of the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) and submit to the supplier through the assistance of the Purchasing department.
  • Identify the Allergen category, product claims (Non-GMO or GF) and materials that need special handling instruction for incoming materials and provide guidelines to Warehouse personnel on the proper storage and handling.
  • Perform daily walkthrough inspection inside the Warehouse Storage both Refrigerated and ambient storage to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP). This also includes personnel adherence to GMP on good personnel practices.
  • Report any non-compliance and issue QDA if necessary.
  • Prepare pallet tags with raw materials information and issue to Warehouse personnel for application.
  • Be able to create receiving form for new raw materials (ingredients or packaging) in reference to approved product specifications and receiving SOPs.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse team to ensure compliance with Food Safety Programs like GMP, Allergens, Food Defense, Sanitation, Pest Control and other Pre-requisite programs.
  • Assist QC Line Technician whenever possible to support Food Safety and Quality inspection in the processing line, including critical control points and preventive controls inspection and monitoring.
  • Assist on Product Sensory Evaluation program
  • Assist in keeping records and inventory of the Product on Hold, both for Raw Materials and Finished products
  • Maintain all necessary records and logs current both hard copies and electronic copies, whichever is applicable.
  • Assist on Customer complaint investigation or Internal issues that involves Ingredients and Suppliers.
  • Participate in projects assigned by the upper management

  • Communicate with Sanitation Department for any issues found in the Pre-Op inspections and document proper corrective actions when deficiencies are found.
  • Other duties will be assigned by the QA manager.


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis
  • Constant rotation of job duties every couple hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
  • Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Able to work a multi shift environment
  • Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities
  • Exposed to cold (40ยบ)/ heat/ humidity
