Job description

Our Warehouse Supervisor I is responsible for the day to day supervision of warehouse operations front line staff and implementation and oversight of continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Train, supervise, evaluate, and coach/discipline department staff in partnership with warehouse management.
  • Implement and oversee assigned continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Conduct routine warehouse audits/inspections, including but not limited to: general conditions assessments, functional work area audits (i.e., Receiving, Driver Check In, Restock, etc.), safety inspections, inventory (breakage) inspections, and order accuracy audits.
  • Enforce all existing Columbia policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with internal and external customers and coworkers.
  • Lead department staff across multiple buildings and shifts.
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
  • Provide coverage to other operational departments as necessary.
  • Complete all other tasks and/or projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times.

Key Competencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with ADP and VIP.

People Management
Directly supervises warehouse front line staff assigned to KDC Warehouse Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Work Environment
Work indoors in a warehouse environment.
Physical Demands
  • Lift/Carry & Push/Pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend/Stoop/Crouch/Squat
  • Use arms/wrists/hands/grasp throughout entire shift

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days/hours of will vary as this position will provide supervision across multiple departments and shifts. This position may be required to work weekends as needed. This position is non-exempt.
Travel
Local travel only; however, some out of state travel may be required for planning and alignment meetings as needed
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training
