As the Assistant Manager - Airport Receiving, you'll play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of SharBert Enterprises' airport concessions by overseeing the receiving, storage, organization, and distribution of inventory to multiple retail and food & beverage locations throughout the airport.

What You'll Do
As the Assistant Manager - Airport Receiving, you will oversee the daily flow of inventory from delivery through distribution while maintaining compliance with airport regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities include:
  • Supply Receiving: Oversee the receiving of all incoming food, beverage, retail merchandise, and operational supplies, verifying quantities, quality, and accuracy of deliveries.
  • Storage & Organization: Organize and maintain designated warehouse and storage areas to maximize efficiency of space utilization & inventory accessibility while ensuring compliance food safety & sanitation standards.
  • Distribution: Coordinate timely distribution of inventory to airport retail and food service locations to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Team Leadership: Assist in supervising and leading the receiving and distribution team by providing coaching, training, scheduling support, and daily direction while promoting SharBert Enterprises' servant leadership culture.
  • Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, delivery personnel, and airport partners while resolving delivery discrepancies and coordinating receiving schedules.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality inspections of incoming products to ensure freshness, condition, and compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with TSA, airport security requirements, OSHA standards, food safety regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, product rotation, stock organization, and loss prevention.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate receiving records, inventory documentation, invoices, and reports using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve receiving, storage, inventory flow, and distribution processes to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Assist with warehouse organization, seasonal inventory changes, and special projects as assigned. Support airport concession operations by responding quickly to changing business needs and priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of airport security requirements and concession operations is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport security credentials.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during peak travel periods.

Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires standing and walking for extended periods; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products weighing up to 50 pounds; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and operating pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment. Work is performed in warehouse, storage, cooler/freezer, loading dock, and airport operational environments with varying temperatures. Employees must be able to safely perform essential job functions while following all company and airport safety requirements.
