Location: North Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Onsite) Pay: $20 to $22 per hour Type: Contract to Hire Industry: Automotive experience a plus
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Cash Receipts Clerk to join our growing team in North Phoenix. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting or finance career who is looking to learn, develop new skills, and grow within an organization. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to take on additional responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process and post daily cash, check, and credit card transactions for multiple store locations
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and verify accuracy of receipts and postings
  • Prepare and complete daily bank deposits
  • Assist with opening and processing daily receipts for multiple locations alongside the team
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain organized records of cash receipts, deposits, and transaction activity
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily deadlines and support departmental goals
  • Assist with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous cash handling, banking, cashiering, retail accounting, or accounts receivable experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles is helpful but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus
