Job description

Summary

Contract administration for Managed Care rebates, including contract term interpretation, claims eligibility validation, formulary verification, rebate adjudication, and external customer management to ensure proper rebate determination and payment.

Responsibilities
  • Review executed paper contract; summarize terms and set up contract to match intent.
  • Maintain Managed Care rebate contracts (terms, membership, formulary status).
  • Validate rebate claims data; determine eligibility based on formulary status/compliance; calculate rebates; resolve discrepancies; decide final payment due per contract.
  • Collaborate with Contract Operations to ensure rebate calculations/payments reflect contract intent.
  • Analyze claim/expected rebate variances; assess YTD payment trends; explain variances vs. prior periods; elevate unexplained variances indicating compliance/performance issues.
  • Prepare payment packages, process payments, and resolve issues to meet contractual timeframes.
  • Monitor drug formulary compliance.
  • Act as primary contact for payers and Contract Operations; handle disputes by gathering facts and recommending resolutions.
  • Improve processes/SOPs; maintain SOX and audit control compliance; support internal/external audits, legal requests, and government inquiries.
Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
  • 0–2 years’ experience in contract administration, rebate processing, or business/financial analysis.
  • Analytical techniques to identify root cause of issues and validate data/trends.
  • Strong organizational skills; multitasking and rapid decision-making with discrepancies.
  • Communication skills with internal/external customers.
  • MS Office (Excel, Access).
  • Preferred: Managed Care experience; BA/BS degree.

  • $69,120–$83,760 (Madison/Giralda, NJ) and $69,120–$83,760 (Princeton, NJ); potential incentive cash/stock (eligibility-based).
