Job description

We are seeking a dependable Rebar Fabricator to join our team. This position is responsible for fabricating reinforcing steel by operating shear lines, rebar benders, and other fabrication equipment to produce material that meets customer specifications and production schedules.

  • Able to read and interpret bar lists, shop tickets, and production schedules.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently fabricate reinforcing steel to specification.
  • Comfortable operating fabrication equipment and working around overhead cranes, forklifts, and moving machinery.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a productive team environment.
  • Experience in rebar fabrication, reinforcing steel fabrication, concrete construction, or industrial manufacturing is preferred. This position focuses on reinforcing steel fabrication; welding experience is not required.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive physical tasks, lift up to 75 pounds, and work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Set up, safely adjust, and operate automated rebar fabrication equipment, including shear lines, rebar benders, and other production machinery.
  • Read blueprint drawings, bar lists, shop tickets, and work orders to fabricate reinforcing steel according to customer specifications.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and fabricate reinforcing steel while maintaining dimensional accuracy and bend tolerances.
  • Inspect finished material for correct size, shape, quantity, tags, and overall quality before shipment.
  • Bundle, tag, stage, and prepare fabricated reinforcing steel for delivery.
  • Assist with loading finished orders and unloading incoming reinforcing steel using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Perform routine machine inspections and report equipment concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain an organized work area that promotes safe, efficient production.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
