REBAR FABRICATION MACHINE OPERATOR


Core Supply in Houston, TX is looking for MEP REBAR FABRICATION MACHINE OPERATORS to join our team.


As a full-time MEP REBAR FABRICATION MACHINE OPERATOR at Core, you are responsible for the safe operation of rebar cutting/ bending machines in a metal fabrication environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations.
  • Operate rebar fabrication machines safely and efficiently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete fabrication jobs by established deadlines.
  • Assist in loading and unloading rebar using overhead crane or forklift.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
  • Communicate potential on-site hazards to branch management.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Work overtime as business requires.
  • Report for schedule shift on time and fit for duty.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Three years' experience operating MEP machines, KRB, or other rebar fabrication machines is required.
  • Automated rebar fabrication machine operator experience required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to read blueprints and service manuals preferred.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures commonly used in the rebar fabrication industry required.
  • Overhead crane operator and forklift experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal, are required.
  • Minimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
