Position: HR and Recruiting Coordinator Location: Chicago – Eventually Hybrid

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate offer letters, pre-employment items, and onboarding tasks such as background checks and drug tests for this growing organization, all while adhering to federal and state regulations.
  • Assist the HR team with research, leave tracking, correspondence, and projects.
  • Managing postings to our job boards and keeping in touch with hiring managers regarding advertising of the positions.
  • Assist our Property and Hiring Managers with reviewing resumes and pre-screening candidates for open positions, following our cultural guidelines and ensuring a really great employee experience.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data with a high level of accuracy and complete confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Assist with special HR projects, including open enrollment, database clean up, and process improvements.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to ensure a consistent, positive employee experience from candidate stage through employment.

What Skills You Need to Bring With You:

    • 3-5+ years of well-rounded HR Coordinator experience. If you've done a little of everything HR related, and have enjoyed it all, it would be a great launchpad for you in this role.
    • Formal HR education, and SHRM certification would be considered a plus.
    • Solid knowledge of HR compliance, as well as being inquisitive enough to immerse yourself in the business of the business.
    • Exceptional communication skills - you're easy to talk to, clear, emotionally intelligent, and really invested in the success of the people you support.
    • Curiosity and initiative - you're the kind of person who sees a challenge and says, "Let's figure it out."
    • Superhuman organizational skills - you can juggle priorities without dropping the ball and do it all with a smile. If you've been in this role before, you know that multi-tasking like a Ninja is a must.
