Data Capture Technician & Team Lead

We are partnering with a leading AI technology company to hire a Data Capture Technician & Team Lead based in the Austin area. This is a unique opportunity to combine field operations, team leadership, and cutting-edge technology while supporting AI-powered construction and infrastructure projects across Texas.

What You'll Do

As the primary owner of regional field operations, you'll lead reality capture projects on active construction sites while coordinating a team of technicians to ensure complete project coverage.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute reality capture projects across construction sites
  • Manage schedules, logistics, and deployment of field technicians
  • Provide backup coverage when team members are unavailable
  • Monitor project pipelines and proactively identify operational risks
  • Ensure all work meets safety requirements and quality standards
  • Serve as the main point of contact between technicians, site managers, stakeholders, and project teams
  • Support ongoing process improvements and operational excellence
  • Utilize mobile apps, scheduling tools, cameras, and specialized capture equipment
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
  • Based in or near Austin, TX
  • Available Monday-Friday, 30-40 hours per week
  • Experience leading teams, managing field operations, or coordinating projects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects
  • Tech-savvy and confident using mobile applications and scheduling software
  • Able to walk long distances, navigate active construction sites, and work outdoors as needed
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
