Key Responsibilities of the Real Estate Paralegal
- Coordinate commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing
- Review title, survey, zoning, and due diligence materials
- Prepare and organize real estate, financing, and closing documents
- Manage transaction timelines, checklists, and critical deadlines
- Conduct public records, UCC, and related searches
- Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, title companies, and clients throughout the transaction process
- Assist with closing preparation, settlement documentation, and post-closing matters
- Maintain organized transaction files and document management systems
Qualifications of the Real Estate Paralegal
- 3+ years of real estate paralegal experience
- Commercial real estate experience preferred
- Residential real estate paralegals seeking to transition into commercial work are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of real estate transactions, title review, due diligence, and closings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active transactions
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
