Job description

The Real Property Clerk will provide administrative and technical support for the management of Army real property. The position is located in Fort Meade, Maryland.

  • Provide administrative and technical support for the Department of Army, Department of Public Works (DPW) Directorates at Fort Meade
  • Analyze Real Property reports to identify, analyze or resolve discrepancies identified on the Installations Real Property Inventory (RPI).
  • Review and validate physical documentation related to each asset listed on the RPI, ensuring the documents meets the requirements identified in the Army Real Property Audit Readiness Handbook and related Army regulations.
  • Prepare various memorandums for record (MFR) and documentation needed to complete acquisition and disposal actions of real property assets.
  • Validate, input and/or correct data utilizing General Finance Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), ensuring all assets are audit compliant with the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Act.
  • Perform administrative tasks and assignments that require the regular and consistent use of discretion and judgment
  • May require field validation of the Installation Real Property Inventory by conducting in-depth base-wide surveys of base facilities, office space, and equipment information.
  • Responsible for supporting Government DPW Real Property and Master Planning personnel in daily administrative tasks as requested.
  • This is an entry level position which will report directly to Project Manager and Sr. Real Property Specialist.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Position will require interface with Government customers and frequent collaboration with Military and Government civilian personnel
  • 1-2 years of Military Real Property or Administrative equivalent experience and/or 1-3 years of applicable DoD facility inventory/survey experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, specifically Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Ability to perform daily physical activity required.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and is required to complete and successfully pass a Department of Defense National Agency Check. Possession of current NACI or Secret Clearance a plus. Candidate must hold a current, valid US driver’s license.

Location: Beale AFB, CA

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to {50} pounds as necessary. Optional: Physically able to walk or stand for more than 6 hours per day
