Job description

There is a particular kind of person who can manage an office, keep the books clean and support a fast-moving CEO without breaking a sweat. If you are that person, Billing Geeks needs you.
Who Are We?

Billing Geeks is a New York City medical billing company that has been running the back office for therapy practices across the city for over twenty years. We are a close-knit team of real people who know this industry inside out. We fight for our clients like it is personal and we have a genuinely good time doing it. We take the work very seriously but ourselves only moderately so. Right now we need someone who can keep the whole operation running at full speed and scaling the daily hurdles like a gazelle.
What This Role Entails:

This role has real range. You will be managing day to day operations, keeping the books in order, supervising and supporting staff, handling HR functions and making sure monthly invoices go out to clients like clockwork. You will also work directly with our CEO, which means your organizational skills will have a direct and meaningful impact on how this company runs every single day.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Keeping the office running the way it should, which means staying twenty steps ahead of everything.
  • Supervising, training and delegating to staff so the right people are doing the right things.
  • Maintaining financial records and handling daily transactions with the kind of precision that would make your high school math teacher emotional.
  • Managing bank reconciliation and accounts payable and receivable because the numbers have to add up every single time.
  • Creating and sending monthly invoices to Billing Geeks clients, which means our revenue runs through you. No pressure, right?
  • Handling HR support and being the person everyone comes to when something needs sorting because somehow you always know what to do.
  • Working directly with our CEO, which puts you right at the beating heart of everything.
Who We Are Looking For:

You have a bachelor's degree and real experience in office management and bookkeeping. You are someone who doesn’t need the full picture explained before you start moving. You can keep a lot of plates in the air at once, and you know which ones to set down first if something wobbles. You are the kind of person who leaves every situation more organized than they found it.
Compensation and Perks:
  • $65,000 salary.
  • Health insurance, because a company that deals with it all day knows exactly how much a good one matters.
  • Paid time off and we have a strict no guilt trip policy about using it.
  • An FSA, because keeping more of your own money is always a good idea.
  • Transit benefits to take the edge off what it costs to get here.
  • 401K with company matching so your future gets a head start.
To Apply:

We have been in business for over twenty years and in that time we have learned that the right person in the right role makes everything better for everyone. If that person is you, we want to hear from you. Send your resume and tell us what makes you the one. Go on. You know you want to.
