Job Description:

***This is a hybrid position based in our Marlborough, MA office.

Come play a role in finding TJX's next successful store! This newly added Analyst role in the Real Estate Research & Analysis team will support TJX's substantial store growth plans by evaluating potential opportunities and analyzing store performance across the US.

The Real Estate Research & Analysis Team uses data and analytics to frame, structure and prioritize real estate decisions for TJX's executive leadership team. Ideal candidates are highly motivated analysts who enjoy digging into data and solving complex problems. A genuine interest in real estate strategy and an analytical mindset is paramount. This role partners closely with several functional areas within the Real Estate & Property Development department as well as with finance and analysis groups across the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of robust corporate growth strategies for all TJX domestic banners
  • Perform site analyses using demographic data, cannibalization analysis, market prioritization and financial forecasting to guide business and real estate decisions
  • Analyze and assess store opening trends, identifying data-driven opportunities for future growth
  • Conduct detailed market and competitive position research as well as financial and statistical analyses to support real estate opportunities
  • Own analyses from end-to-end, translating complex data into actionable insights for executive audiences.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or greater, preferably in Finance, Business, Geography or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a full-time real estate or analytical role
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using and presenting data and insights to tell a compelling story and drive decisions
  • Intellectual curiosity - a willingness to master analytical tools and dive deeper into the data and trends that define the industry
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and develop effective relationships with stakeholders in other functions/divisions
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Bonus Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in commercial real estate site selection, research, investment, finance or other related sector
  • Familiarity with GIS and site selection software (Kalibrate, Esri, ArcGIS, Placer.ai, etc.)
  • Background in statistical analysis
  • Expertise using AI tools to responsibly supplement and enhance research and business productivity
