Overview

As a Senior Real Estate Portfolio Manager for the New York, New Jersey, and Greater Boston regions, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of real estate activities-including planning, design, build/lease, operation, and maintenance-for Microsoft's northeast portfolio. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver world-class workspaces and services, enabling employees to achieve their highest potential. This role drives strategic planning, optimizes portfolio performance, and ensures alignment with Microsoft's global and regional goals.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee delivery of real estate and facilities management services, leveraging third-party vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes, consistent with the requirements of the business client and support peer organizations within the portfolio.
  • Drive multi-year planning for the region's real estate portfolio, including strategy, business, financial and operational planning in alignment with global and regional goals and client strategy. Lead strategic, business, financial, and operational planning for the portfolio.
  • Ensure effective alignment and collaboration with supporting peer organizations such as Microsoft Digital, Procurement, Security, Finance, Legal Corporate Affairs and HR to ensure seamless service portfolio operations and management.
  • Oversee and ensure successful delivery of the RE&F services and projects with financial rigor and accountability to include capital planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Drive action and decisions, supported by analytical rigor and data, among clients and partner stakeholders by utilizing and facilitating an awareness of business needs and priorities at multiple levels within the company. Proactively engage with

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field, AND 5+ years relevant experience
    • OR 7+ years equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Facilities Management, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in technology and corporate environments.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MCR, CPM, CCIM, PMP) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate and facilities management, preferably within technology or corporate sectors.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
