Job description

Holland & Knightโ€™s Real Estate practice is seeking an associate to join its Real Estate Finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience representing institutional lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions involving a variety of asset classes.

Responsibilities include managing financing transactions from inception through closing; drafting and negotiating loan documents and related financing instruments; reviewing title, survey, zoning and other due diligence materials; and coordinating with clients, borrowersโ€™ counsel and other transaction participants. Experience with construction loans, syndicated and securitized loans, mezzanine financing, intercreditor and co-lender arrangements, and other complex capital structures is preferred. Experience with loan modifications, workouts or restructurings is a plus.

Excellent academic credentials are required, and large regional, national or international law firm experience is preferred. Holland & Knight possesses a collegial atmosphere and provides its professionals with a large platform and tangible opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Job Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of commercial real estate finance experience, preferably representing institutional lenders.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents and managing financing transactions through closing.
  • Experience with AI platforms and natural language programming
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.

This position may be filled in New York or Philadelphia. In accordance with applicable Pay Transparency Laws, the pay range for this position in New York is $235,000-$365,000. This range may not be applicable to other locations. An individualโ€™s actual compensation will depend on the individualโ€™s qualifications and experience.
