Job description

A Myrtle Beach law firm seeks a real estate closing paralegal/legal assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years real estate closing experience; commercial real estate a plus
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
  • Proficient in SoftPro
  • Working knowledge of transaction work, including real estate, timeshare, land development and financial institutions.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare real estate closings
  • Responsible for client files from contract to post-closing, including preparation of closing documents and interaction with contract parties, lenders, homeowners associations and other service providers
  • Draft correspondence, perform research, and pro-active with telephone calls
  • Proven record handling confidential matters
  • Maintain and organize files in hardcopy and electronic format
  • Demonstrated team work ability
  • Ability to work in at fast pace environment and complete tasks by deadlines.
