Who are you?

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as the Owners Representative Construction Manager for secondment on ATB Financials' major construction programme.

In this role, you will be seconded into a dynamic real estate and facilities environment, reporting to the Senior Manager, Construction. You will play a critical, hands-on role in the successful delivery of capital projects—ranging from renovations and refreshes to new builds—ensuring they are executed with technical excellence, safety, and fiscal discipline.

This position is central to bringing physical spaces to life. You will lead construction delivery across the full lifecycle—from pre-construction planning and tendering through to deficiencies, commissioning, and turnover—working closely with Project Delivery and Design teams to ensure alignment with governance, stakeholder expectations, and overall program objectives.

Leveraging Turner & Townsend’s global expertise and best practices, you will provide strong technical leadership, oversee contractors and vendors, and uphold rigorous standards in quality, safety, and financial management to deliver high-performing, future-ready environments.

Job Description

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage complex projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee all phases of project execution including design, procurement, construction, handover, and close-out.
  • Develop and manage project documentation, including scopes of work, budgets, schedules, risk registers, and quality plans.
  • Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and forward-looking insights to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business goals.

Strategic Value & Change Management

  • Measure and report on project value realization, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct change impact assessments to support smooth transitions and minimize disruption.
  • Support workplace transformation initiatives that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Procurement & Contract Administration

  • Manage procurement processes including tendering, bid analysis, and contract awards.
  • Administer contracts with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance and performance.
  • Lead project handover and close-out activities, including financial reconciliation and lessons learned.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to junior team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing across the team.
Qualifications
  • 8–10 years of project management experience in construction, real estate, or facilities management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience acting as a client representative is a strong asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project); experience with Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
