Job description

We are seeking a midlevel associate to join the dynamic Real Estate team in our Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have three to four years of real estate transactional and development experience, including experience in the preparation of purchase and sale agreements, real estate development documentation, title and survey review, and lender side finance representation. Real estate joint venture, real estate finance, leasing, planned community and condominium, multi family, and manufacturing industry experience are pluses. Experience with economic incentives would also be beneficial.

The Real Estate practice at K&L Gates is a broad practice focusing on foreign inbound companies, real estate investors, developers, and lenders, and the candidate will be required to draft purchase and sale agreements, real estate development documentation, due diligence materials and other agreements specific to the industrial and technology sectors, including data centers and advanced manufacturing.

Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Given the international, fast-paced, and client-driven nature of our practice, candidates should be comfortable managing competing deadlines to meet client needs, and strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a dedicated commitment to high-quality client service are essential. Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.

Base Compensation $250,000 - $ 280,000 / year

The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. #LI-SJ1
