Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Real Estate Manager, and/or other senior members of the Real Estate team, this position offers the opportunity to be a part of the entire real estate development process for veterinary services, directly contributing to CityVet's and Arista's vision of creating ownership opportunities for veterinarians across the country. This position was created with the goal of providing capable, studied, and thorough support to CityVet and Arista in managing the organization's growing real estate portfolio, including retail clinics, specialty clinics, and administrative buildings. He/She will provide analysis and input to senior management for the purposes of forming and executing upon the strategic direction of real estate actions in a growing number of metro areas across the United States. The ideal candidate must be diligent, resourceful, meticulous, analytical, and most importantly, a team player. This is a unique opportunity for a recent graduate and/or someone just embarking on their career in real estate to get hands on real estate experience working with a team with over 60 years of combined real estate experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Provide financial analysis in support of the financing, acquisition, marketing, and leasing of property
• Manage communication of material project information, to include management of due diligence checklists for real estate transactions
• Facilitate project inspections and tours
• Track risks, issues, critical decisions, and action items to ensure consistent project administration and timely alignment of real estate transactions with identified local veterinarian partners
• With assistance, conduct market research and manage software programs for the mapping and identification of real estate opportunities
• Assists in the preparation of weekly or monthly meetings for internal or external audiences
• Coordinate Letters of Intent and/or lease contracts
• Helps to build strong working relationships to acquire market insights from internal and external sources, such as leaders, appraisers, brokers, and research professionals
• Work to produce accurate and timely market performance assessments (MPA) to senior leadership to help capitalize on market opportunities
• Assists in the management of regional and national broker relationships
• Works cross-functionally with business development, design and construction (D&C), marketing, operations, and recruiting teammates in support of CityVet's and Arista's growth objectives
• Development of diligence, risk assessment, and related presentations for review by senior leadership
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Opportunities for career development and advancement include, but are not limited to:
• Increasing levels of responsibility within the real estate or Development divisions of CityVet/Arista
• Responsibility and oversight of asset management functions that require competent diligence
• Direct management of specific aspects of de novo clinic growth
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
• Basic understanding of real estate structuring, real estate documents, key deal terms (levers), and negotiation processes that occur in finalizing a real estate transaction

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, Finance, Data Analytics, or equivalent Business degree
• 0-2 years of experience in real estate or related business field
