JUNIOR REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – PROCUREMENT / PROJECT MANAGEMENT

MUST HAVE 2-3 YEARS OF PROVEN DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINISTATIVE DUTIES FOR A REAL ESTATE DEVELOPENT CO

Established New York City real estate development company is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented professional to work directly with three senior real estate development executives.

This is a hands-on position for someone who wants significant exposure to real estate development, construction, procurement, accounting, and day-to-day project execution. Day to day field management- must be highly involved in AI and work in fast paced business environment.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 2- 3 years of professional work experience
  • Prior experience in real estate development, construction, construction management, general contracting, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong Excel and general computer skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers, invoices, budgets, contracts, and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist three senior executives with day-to-day development and construction activities
  • Coordinate purchasing and procurement of construction materials, fixtures, appliances, equipment, and other project requirements
  • Solicit and compare vendor and subcontractor proposals
  • Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement schedules
  • Track orders, deliveries, pricing, and outstanding items
  • Review and organize invoices, bills, receipts, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with accounts payable and project accounting
  • Track project costs against budgets
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, property managers, and accounting personnel
  • Maintain contracts, proposals, insurance documents, project files, and other records
  • Follow up aggressively on open items and deadlines
  • Prepare Excel schedules, reports, and project summaries for executives
  • Handle additional administrative and project-related responsibilities as required

The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of assignments, follow through without constant supervision, and become an important part of the development team.
