Job description

Description:

As an Appraisal and Collateral Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Bank’s lending operations through the review and ongoing administration of real estate appraisals, flood insurance, and other real estate monitoring. You will assist in maintaining compliance with Bank policies & procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable secondary market requirements. 


Location: This opportunity is on-site and can be located in Muscatine, Coralville, Quad Cities, Galesburg, Peoria, or Stateline of WI/IL.  


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Reviews appraisals for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Bank policy and applicable regulations.
  • Maintains accurate records of appraisal orders, completed reports, reviews, deficiencies, and related correspondence.
  • Reviews and calculates flood insurance requirements for real estate loans.
  • Identifies insufficient, expired, missing, or otherwise deficient flood insurance coverage. 
  • Communicates requirements or deficiencies to appropriate lenders, borrowers, insurance agents, or other parties.
  • Maintains documentation supporting compliance with appraisal, flood insurance, and other collateral-related requirements.
  • Monitors and assists with real estate collateral tracking including SBA loans, construction loans, and other loans as identified. 
  • Assists with internal reviews, audits, regulatory examinations, and management reporting related to appraisals, flood insurance, and collateral operations.
  • Communicates effectively with lenders, loan operations personnel, appraisal vendors, insurance providers, borrowers, and other internal and external parties to resolve collateral-related questions and outstanding requirements.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree from a two (2) year college or university; or two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of an in-depth background in lending, and customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Basic math skills
