Job Description:
At Regions, the Credit Products Real Estate Asset Manager works to manage due diligence, monitor loan and property performance and key performance indicators and assists with asset management and servicing of a real estate loan portfolio. This group provides client-specific off-balance sheet financing solutions through its various Agency Products - Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD.
The Credit Products Real Estate Asset Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and optimizing asset performance. This role involves detailed financial analysis, credit evaluation, and proactive problem resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of loan servicing and asset management, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintains internal and external client relationships
  • Reviews and interprets loan documents and servicing agreements
  • Identifies and resolves problem assets within the portfolio
  • Performs and reviews property financial analysis modeling
  • Analyzes property-level financial statements for accuracy and performance trends
  • Assesses property condition and deferred maintenance through inspection reports; may conduct on-site property inspections
  • Provides fundamental credit analysis, including market research, property performance evaluation, and comparable transaction analysis
  • Reviews transaction due diligence including third-party reports, asset summaries, and cash flow models
  • Manages asset servicing matters such as payoffs, prepayments, estoppels, lease reviews, SNDAs, reserves, escrows, draw requests, cash management, easements, financial reporting, inspections, post-closing items, and borrower requests
  • Mitigates potential risks associated with assets in the portfolio
  • Prepares asset summary memos for program approvals and borrower requests

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or a related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in Real Estate, Underwriting, or Financial Analysis

  • Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
  • Comprehensive understanding of loan servicing and asset management functions
