About the Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee the daily operations of our ready mix concrete plant while also operating a concrete mixer truck as business demands require. This is a working management position ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, maintaining efficient plant operations, and providing excellent customer service in the field.
The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient production and delivery of quality concrete while maintaining high standards for customer service, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations
    • Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
    • Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
    • Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily work assignments.
    • Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
    • Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
    • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety policies.
    • Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
    CDL Mixer Operations
    • Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck (Class A or Class B CDL) when needed.
    • Safely transport and deliver concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
    • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
    • Maintain delivery documentation and DOT compliance.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel.
    • Assist with plant and yard duties during downtime.
