Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write and facilitate professional development around effective intervention instruction.

  • Support in providing vision and direction for reading intervention instruction for all NHA schools.

  • Model effective literacy and intervention instruction.

  • Write and execute lesson plans, assessments, or other instructional routines/frameworks.

  • Work to enhance teacher quality through direct coaching at schools around effective instruction, data analysis, and assessment administration.

  • Research best practices with regards to reading intervention curriculum, professional development and student learning.

  • Ability to travel as required (approximately 2-5 overnights per month).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education is required, Master's Degree in preferred.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.

  • Experience with Reading Mastery and Corrective Reading instructional programs.

  • Experience writing and presenting professional development.

  • Experience coaching teachers and/or instructional leaders.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Experience completing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Use technology for collaboration.

  • Function within general assignment of responsibilities.
