Job description

Site Protection Officer

Our Security team is seeking Site Protection Officers to support our team 100% onsite at our facilities in Andover, Marlborough, Tewksbury, Woburn, Massachusetts and Pelham, New Hampshire.

Security Officers protect company and government buildings/property against the unauthorized access or removal of property. Patrolling buildings and property monitoring for fire, water leaks or any other hazard. Checking employee and visitor entering/exiting property for proper identification and perform bag and package inspections as required.

This is for a full time Pool Officer, for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift; Officers can be assigned to any shift, at any time.

What You Will Do
  • Provide asset protection for company and government buildings, equipment, products, personnel, and information.
  • Prevent the entry of unauthorized personnel, the illegal removal or willful destruction of company equipment.
  • Conduct security patrols to observe for and report all fires, damage, hazards, and violations of company and customer regulations and policy.
  • Checks badges of all persons entering or leaving company entrances.
  • Frequently coordinate clearance and badge verifications with designated security personnel.
  • Inspect packages, briefcases, and other parcels in accordance with company policy & procedure.
  • Complete data logs for vehicles and personnel who enter the facility gates.
  • Assist in conducting fire drills and facility evacuations.
  • Operate company vehicles.
  • Monitor for unattended classified, company controlled material, other classified materials, and properly secure material.
  • Perform security checks of all controlled areas in accordance with DoD and company policy.
  • Required to operate automated access control system/intrusion detection system/CCTV and multiple alarm notification systems and react accordingly.
  • Participate in training programs mandated by law and company policy.
  • Wear a uniform and be able to work overtime.
  • This is a Union position.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Computer proficiency to perform database searches.
  • Prior security experience with a cleared defense contractor.
  • Military and/or law enforcement experience.

The salary range for this role is $22.52 an hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
