Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and chronic disease nutrition counseling as part of our integrated healthcare team and Maternal Health Hub program.


In this role, you will support patients managing diabetes, maternal health nutrition needs, weight management, and other chronic conditions. Working alongside physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, and care coordinators, you will develop individualized care plans that help patients improve health outcomes and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for diabetes and chronic disease management
  • Deliver diabetes self-management education and nutrition counseling

  • Support maternal health nutrition as part of RAHCs Maternal Health Hub

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Dietetics or related field
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred

  • Experience working with patients with diabetes or chronic disease
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or eligibility
  • Experience in community health or integrated care settings
  • Bilingual language skills

A valid drivers license is preferred.
