OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our interdisciplinary team at our skilled nursing facility in Rock Port, Missouri. As our Registered Dietitian, you'll play a vital role in assessing residents' nutritional needs, developing individualized care plans, collaborating with physicians and nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments for new admissions and as required by regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Conduct resident interviews to obtain food preferences and complete Resident Food Profiles.
  • Update resident food preferences in the dietary management/tray card system.
  • Monitor residents for changes in nutritional status, weight, skin integrity, hydration, and swallowing concerns.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, speech therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident outcomes.
  • Recommend therapeutic diets and nutrition interventions based on physician orders and clinical needs.
  • Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and quality assurance/performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations related to dietary services.
  • Review and monitor meal service for quality, accuracy, and resident satisfaction.
  • Assist with regulatory surveys and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Refer residents with specialized nutritional concerns for additional evaluation as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
Required
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Licensed Dietitian in the State of Missouri (or eligible for licensure)
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
  • Knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets, and medical nutrition therapy
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical records
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team
Preferred
  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nutrition
  • Experience with PointClickCare or other electronic health records
  • Knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process
