Cardiovascular Sonographer

Employment Type: Full-time and Permanent 

Salary: Competitive

Summary:

Responsibilities:
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound evaluations
  • Communicate acute findings to Cardiologist and route studies for interpretation
  • Obtain pertinent patient health history before examination
  • Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use
  • Ensure timely and efficient room preparation between procedures
  • Troubleshoot and report any equipment problems
  • May provide staff training and education
Education Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field within 3 months of hire, OR completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Must maintain registry status and meet continuing education requirements annually.
Professional Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum one year experience in an acute hospital setting.
