Job description

Position Summary
FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a nationally recognized health care system located in central North Carolina. Comprised of four hospitals (Moore, Hoke, Richmond, and Montgomery) with more than 600 beds, the system also offers leading-edge heart care in the Reid Heart Center, the area's only dedicated heart and vascular center. In addition, the system provides home health and hospice services, emergency care, and medical transportation. Responsibilities
Echo Tech (RCS, RDCS) Job Summary
  • Will be responsible for conducting cardiac ultrasounds on adult patients utilizing 2D echocardiography, M-mode, and echocardiography with color flow/doppler.
  • Will be responsible for collecting and evaluating clinical data while recognizing and reporting life-threatening findings in a timely manner to physician.

*Clinic Based Echo Tech position-Cardiology Clinic.
Qualifications
Echo Tech (RCS, RDCS) Qualifications
  • Associate degree or Higher level
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Formal Training in Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound/Cardiovascular Technology required
  • At least 1 year of echo experience required
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer RDCS (OR) Registered Cardiac Sonographer RCS required
  • Reliable transportation and valid NC driver's license required
