Job description

Job Summary:
Raytheon is the world's largest aerospace and defense company, dedicated to solving complex problems. As a Network Engineer, you will lead major network projects, provide high-level technical support, and ensure the deployment and maintenance of air-gapped networks for factory operations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead major network projects
• Provide high-level technical support with advanced troubleshooting and triage
• Deploy and sustain air-gapped networks supporting 24/7 factory operations
• Provide compliance and audit resolution and mitigation
• Help train and mentor junior team members
• May require occasional domestic travel
Qualifications:
Required:
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
• Experience as network engineer within a Cisco-based Networking environment such as Wide Area Network (WAN) or other types.
• Experience administering Cisco Networking products such as Identity Services Engine (ISE) or others.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred:
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist) and Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA). Strongly preferred.
• Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications
• Experience installing and operating SNMP-based network management tools (e.g. SolarWinds)
• Experience configuring and operating NSA-approved Type-1 encryption devices
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as network diagrams
