Job Summary:

Our Digital Technology (Digital) organization ensures that RTX teams across the globe can communicate, collaborate, and innovate for customer success.  As a Raytheon Digital Technology (DT) Program Digital Services (PDS) Air & Space Defense Systems Section Manager, you will collaborate and partner with cross-section of Digital, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Program Leadership partners, in support of the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), based in Tucson, AZ.

In this role the leader will be responsible for leading a team consisting of approximately (18) eighteen Systems Administrators to enable program execution across multiple security domains (collateral, proprietary, and unclassified) which include engineering labs and factories.  The leader will establish a vision, set direction, develop, and motivate high-performing technical professionals and teams to deliver business value and results.  The leader will partner across Digital and other RTX functions to drive new technology insertion, sustainment direction, and support programs through the entire lifecycle.  The leader will have responsibility for all aspects of people management including hiring, staff development, training, and performance appraisals.

This position reports to the Raytheon (RAY) Digital Technology (DT) Program Digital Services (PDS), Air & Space Defense Systems, Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) Lead.
What You Will Do:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team aligned with our Raytheon vision, strategy, values, and behaviors.
  • Partner closely with peer groups to enable flawless Digital service delivery, and technology insertion / evolution.
  • Assign and monitor projects and tasks.
  • Manage and record employee performance.
  • Create and submit periodic status reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership.
  • Administer time reporting, training, recruiting, orientation, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage annual operating plan (AOP) for the team’s Digital scope.
  • Execute workforce planning and resource management.
  • 100% on-site. On-site work environment that will require daily on-site support presence. Attend annual conferences and team meetings as required.
  • Up to 10% of travel.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a STEM, IT bachelor’s degree with 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced STEM, IT degree with 7 years of relevant experience,
  • Experience with Digital Technology (DT), Information Technology (IT) System Administration duties.
  • Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team in technology environments.
  • Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of DFARS, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements, with experience implementing cybersecurity best practices, compliance hardening, and risk‑based decision making within program environments.
  • Technical Acumen: Across digital technologies, including Windows and Linux operating systems, experience leading teams delivering complex software, hardware, and DT operational capabilities, and  experience with workforce planning and resource management are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present clear, data‑driven business cases for digital investments and transformation initiatives to senior management and executive audiences.
  • Proven leadership in highly collaborative environments, with the ability to influence across functions, drive organizational change, and cultivate strong stakeholder and customer partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and programmatic challenges, develop actionable solutions, and apply curiosity, strategic thinking, and innovative problem‑solving to advance team and program objectives.

Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
